Key 2/Seed/
Transport Code This location in the HCS412’s memory map is used for
the seed (if enabled by Seed/IFF2), as Key 2 (if enabled
by Seed/IFF2) and as the transport code.
Random: The transport code, second key, and seed is
a random number.
User defined: The user can type in a 60 bit seed value
which will be used as the Key 2/Seed/Transport code.
User EEPROM The user can enter a 64 bit (16 hex digits) value for user
EEPROM.
Low Voltage Trip Low: The V
LOW
bit in a transmission is set when V

drops below the low trip point (nominally 2.2V).
High: The V

bit in a transmission is set when V

drops below the high trip point (nominally 4.4V).
RF Baud Rate See Table 3.17.
IFF Baud Rate Slow (200 uS): Inductive Basic Pulse Width (IBPW) set
to 200 µs.
Fast (100 uS): Inductive Basic Pulse Width (IBPW) set
to 100 µs.
Overflow None: No overflow bits set.
Once: One of the overflow bits set.
Twice: Both overflow bits set.
Anti Collision/
XP RF None: Anticollision and proximity activation modes both
disabled.
Anticollision: Anticollision mode enabled.
Proximity Activation: Proximity activation mode
enabled, anticollision mode disabled.
RF Echo: Anticollision mode enabled, transponder
responses echoed on RF line.
ASK/FSK Control ASK: This option allows ASK control signals to be out-
put.
FSK: This option allows FSK control signals to be out-
put.
Transmission
Format PWM: PWM encoding of data being transmitted.
Manchester: Manchester encoding of data being trans-
mitted.
S2/LC Pin S2: The S2LC pin is used as a button input pin.
LC: The S2LC pin is used as a inductive input pin.
Code Word
Blanking When this option is checked codes will be blanked
depending on the setting of RF Baud Rate.
Intelligent
Damping If this option is enabled intelligent damping will be
enabled.
