8.4.8 Multiple Reflections
Particularly on metal targets, mirror effects, which result in multiple reflections of the
laser line in the receiver's line of sight, occur at corners and grooves, see the figure
below.
For this effect, the extraneous light suppression (increasing the threshold) and the
evaluation over the largest area ("only highest integral intensity") in the controller are
useful.
Furthermore, these reflections can be suppressed by the sensor parameters, laser
power and illumination time (shutter).

8.5 Laser Power
Use the demo software to reduce the laser power of the sensor (see the manual "demo-
software", Chap. 3.6). The software settings can be saved in the controller and can be
used after a restart.
