Setting the vehicle level manually
Select the “Normal” setting for normal
road conditions and “Raised” when using
snow chains or in very poor surface condi-
tions.

lights up. The vehicle
is adjusted to the raised level.
You will see the following message in
the multi-function display: “Vehicle ris-
ing” .

goes out. The vehicle
is adjusted to the normal level.

The “raised Niveau” setting is cancelled at
vehicle speeds above 120 km/h or if the speed
has been between 80 km/h and 120 km/h for
more than about 3 minutes. If you do not drive
within this speed range, the raised level remains
stored, even when the key is removed from the
ignition lock.
Suspension tuning
The adaptive damping system (ADS) auto-
matically controls the tuning of shock ab-
sorbers and springs.
Adjust the suspension tuning using the
program selector button (S/C/M)

The suspension properties in all three drive
programs (S/C/M) also depend on:

your driving style

the road-surface conditions

the load

Risk of injury
Make sure that nobody is in the vicinity of
the wheel housing or under the vehicle while
lowering the vehicle. There is otherwise a
risk of injury.
