8 in (20 cm) and then allow it to fall, applying
a little force as you let it go.

If the hood can still be li ed slightly, open the
hood again and close it with slightly more
force until it engages correctly.

The engine has an oil dipstick. If not, the
engine oil level can be checked only with the
on-board computer (

Depending on the engine, the oil dipstick may be
installed in the engine compartment in di erent
locations.
The waiting time before checking the oil level
when the engine is at normal operating tempera-
ture is ve minutes.
