H EC (ECONOMY) = Econom ical se ttin g ; the air
c o n d itio n in g co m p re sso r stays off.
In any o th e r settings, the air conditioning com pressor
co m e s on with am bient tem peratures above + 2 ° C/
36° F.
We recom m end this operation to be perform ed with
co o l o u tside tem peratures, so the air conditioning
c o m p re s s o r stays o ff in o rder to save fuel.
In the ventilation mode, air is em itted from outlets 4, 5
and 6 only.
In the heating mode, air is primarily supplied to the fo o t
area. In addition, air is also supplied to the fro n t doors.
Only enough air is supplied to the w indshield and air
outlets 5 and 6, in o rder to keep the glass defogged in
normal weather conditions. In the heating mode, air will
be em itted periodically from outlet 4.
W ith cold outside tem peratures, the fresh air supply and
the blow er remain turned o ff until the engine coolant has
warmed up slightly.

We recom m end this setting with humid and warm
o u tsid e tem peratures.
The setting H corresponds w ith setting H but, in
addition, the air is being cooled or preheated as
necessary.
