7 Switch Management Tools
This chapter describes the management tools. The management module allows the switch to be
managed either locally or remotely. The chassis can also be managed using Out-of-Band manage-
ment via FabricIT EFM. The chassis comes with a module that will completely manage your chas-
sis. An optional management module in combination with the licensing fee for full access to the
FabricIT EFM software can manage a fabric of up to 2000 nodes.
7.1 Chassis Management
The chassis manager will give the user access to:
• switch temperatures
• power supply voltages
• fan unit information
• power unit information
• Flash memory
The manager also has the ability to
• burn new FW on the switch system.
