6 Disassembly and Disposal
6.1 Disassembling the Chassis
1. Power down the chassis.
2. Remove all power cables.
3. Remove all connector cables.
4. Disconnect the Ground lug from the ground post.
5. Remove all leafs. See Section 5.3.1
6. Remove all spines. See Section 5.4.1
7. Remove all management modueles. See Section 5.6.1
8. Using an Allen wrench, remove the Allen screws holding down the lock down bar on the rear
side of the chassis.

9. Remove the lock down bar.
10.Remove the 10 screws holding the chassis to the rack. These screws are located in the faceplate
on the rear of the chassis.
This product and all of its parts are NOT to be disposed of with house-
hold waste. This product contains printed circuit boards cables and bat-
teries. According to the WEEE Directive 2002/96/EC, all waste
electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) should be collected separately
and disposed of according to the directive.
