5 MRI Variants
The MRI module (MRI = Multi-Reference Input) is available in a number of different models. The standard
MRI modules provide the following signal input connectors, depending on the model in question:

The MRI-FO model is especially well-suited to transmission of MRS signals over long distances, with the
transmission of MRS signals over fiber-optic cable also making it much less susceptible to interference.
Before the amplitude-modulated IRIG AM signal can be fed into the FO input, it must first be
generated using a Meinberg
"CON/TCM/FO"
converter.
