Cut through the rest of the wooden log from above.

Warning!
Do not cut a tree with tension. If the tree
splits or the bar jams there is risk of serious personal injury.
4.8.5 To cut branches
Note!
Always cut off protruding branches first.

Always stay on the opposite side of the tree from the
branch to be cut.

Cut from underneath the branch (A). Cut through 1/3
of the branch, 10-15cm from the tree.

Cut from above the branch, a bit more out than the
firs cut (B).

Cut off the branch from underneath close to the tree
(C).

Maintenance
Warning!
Stop the product and disconnect the bat-
tery before you do maintenance of the product.
Warning!
The chain is sharp. Always wear safety
gloves when you do maintenance on the chain.
5.1 To clean the product
Caution!
Do not use water or liquid detergent.
●
Clean the product after use.
●
Clean with a damp cloth and a soft brush.
●
Remove the chain guard and remove chippings and oil
residue from the bar, chain, sprocket and chain guard
with a soft brush.
●
Keep the air outlet free from dirt and dust.
5.2 To tension the chain

Refer to “3.1 To assemble the bar and the chain” on
page 46.
5.3 To clean the slot in the bar

Remove the bar.

Clean the lubrication slot in the bar with a plastic tool.
Do not use a metal tool.

Install the bar.
5.4 To file the chain
●
Let an approved service technician file the chain.

Transport
●
Stop the product before you transport it.
●
Seal the battery terminals before transport, or put the
battery in a plastic bag or plastic box.

Storage
●
Remove the battery from the product.
●
Charge the battery before long time storage.
●
Seal the battery terminals before storage, or put the
battery in a plastic bag or plastic box.
●
Empty the oil tank before long time storage.
●
Keep the product a dry and frost free area. Make sure that
the temperature is 10-25°C.
●
Put the bar guard on the bar.
●
Do not let brake fluid, petrol, oil-based products, or
penetrating oils come close with plastic parts.
●
Do not store the product with corrosive substances, such
as salt and fertiliser.

Disposal
8.1 To discard the product
●
Make sure that you follow the local regulations when you
discard the product. Do not burn the product.
