Care instructions
The product should not be worn in
water. Velcro fasteners should be closed
for washing. Soap residues, lotions and
ointments can cause skin irritation and
material wear.

using a medi clean detergent, or in
delicate cycle at 30°C using a mild
detergent without fabric conditioners.

Intended purpose
protect.Desault is a shoulder
immobilisation support. The product is
exclusively to be used for the orthotic
fitting of the shoulder and only on
unbroken skin.
Indications for use

Dislocated shoulder

Immobilisation of acromioclavicular
(AC) joint
•
Muscle and tendon injuries in the
upper arm region
•
Rotator cuff injuries
•
Immobilisation of upper arm fractures
•
Indications requiring immobilisation of
the internally-rotated arm or shoulder
Contraindications
None known at present.
Putting on the support
•
Place your arm in the sling and bring
the strap over the healthy shoulder,
under the arm on the injured side of
the body and back to the front (image
1). Fasten the end of the strap to the
sling, as shown in image 2.
•
Lay the shoulder brace over the injured
shoulder carefully (image 3), bring the
back end around to the front (image 4)
and close the support using the Velcro
fasteners (image 5). If the right
shoulder is the injured one, the
sewn-in label will face outwards. If the
left shoulder is the one under
treatment, the label will face inwards.
The brace can be turned inside-out
depending on which side is required.
•
Cover outward-facing Velcro fasteners
with the ends of the straps to prevent
clothing from catching on them (image
6).
•
Depending on the indication, it may be
possible to wear the arm sling without
