Connecting the power supply

a) Using the power supply unit (included)

A jack (11) for the mains adapter is located on the bottom of the
indoor unit. Only connect the unit once all components are connected.
This will prevent short circuits.

b) With the top-hat rail power unit Mod. DT-2000 (availa-
ble separately)

Install the DT-2000 in accordance with the enclosed instructions.
Connect the secondary side (=15 V and minus/mass) with the 2 wires
from the signalling line for this video door entry phone that feed in the
operating voltage. +15V is connected to VDD and minus is connected in
parallel to GND. During assembly of the video door entry phone system
the power supply unit should be disconnected from the mains. This will
prevent short circuits.

INITIAL OPERATION

Following successful installation of the system you can connect the
power supply unit or the DT-2000 to the power network. Then press
once on the ringer button in order to activate the system, after which
the system is ready for operation.

SYSTEM FUNCTIONS

Ringer

If the ringer button (18) is pressed on the outdoor unit then the
indoor unit reproduces the ringer sound. The indoor unit is active for
approximately 60 seconds and the image on the outdoor camera is
visible for this time.

Speaker

Press the speaker button (4) briefly in order to be able to speak with
the visitor. The speaker connection is then available. The speaker button
is pressed again briefly in order to end the conversation.
If the speaker button is pressed in standby mode then you can hear and
see what is happening at the outdoor unit. If you wish to speak to a
visitor before they ring the bell simply first press the monitor button (6)
and then the speaker button.

Door opener

A connected door opener is activated for approximately 4 seconds by
briefly pressing the door opener button (8) and the door opener button
need not be held down. A double beep is emitted at the outdoor unit
as confirmation.

The door opener can be activated if

1. The bell has been rung (without needing to hold a conversation
beforehand) within the last 60 seconds.
2. The intercom system is active.

Setting the ringer volume

If the indoor unit is active then the b (5) and – (7) can be
used to set the volume of the ringer in 100 steps from silent to full
volume. The ringer volume is saved by pressing the menu button (3).
The speech volume is not affected.

Set monitor brightness, contract and colour saturation

Activate the indoor unit using the monitor button (6). If the menu
button (3) is pressed then the on-screen display shows the ‘bright’ func-
tion to change the brightness. The + and – buttons can then be used to
adjust the brightness.
Pressing the menu button again switches to the ‘contrast’ function and
the contrast can then be adjusted using the + and – buttons.
Pressing the menu button a third time activates the ‘colour’ function,
which allows adjustment of the colour saturation using the + and –
buttons.
The settings are saved automatically.
