4.

 

Add coolant to the engine coolant pressure tester tank. Set the coolant level to above the 50mm 
level on the engine coolant pressure tester tank sight glass 

a.

 

Use the recommended engine coolant, please refer to: Engine Coolant Specification 

5.

 

Mark the coolant fluid level in the engine coolant pressure tester tank sight glass using a cable tie

Apply 0.90 bar of pressure to the coolant system using the engine coolant pressure tester 
pressure pump 

7.

 

Monitor for pressure drop in the engine coolant system. Look for any signs of coolant loss on the 
engine coolant system 

8.

 

If the coolant level drops lower than 40 mm from the cable tie on the engine coolant pressure 
tester tank sight glass, it indicates there is either air present in the coolant system or the coolant 
system has a leak 

a.

 

Complete the necessary actions to rectify any concern found 

9.

 

Repeat steps 4-7 until the engine coolant system holds pressure 

10.

 

Remove the engine coolant pressure test kit 

11.

 

Top up the coolant level as required and refit the coolant reservoir cap 

12.

 

Install the coolant reservoir cover
