McAfee UTM Firewall 4.0.4 Administration Guide

Upgrading firmware
Recovering from a failed upgrade

Power off the appliance.

Push and hold in the erase button on the back panel of the UTM Firewall device.

Plug in the power cord.

Continue to hold the erase button for five seconds.

The UTM Firewall reboots into the boot recovery image. Follow the GUI instructions to complete recovery of
the firmware image.
