Manual setting of the CUE mark
•
To set the CUE mark manually, you have to switch from playback to pause mode at the desired position. For
this, press the PLAY/PAUSE button
(10) during playback. For precise settings, use the JOG wheel (2).
The starting position of the track is automatically saved as new CUE mark.
k) LOOP Function
You can define a play loop. The start and end points of the loop can be selected in playback and pause mode.
•
At the desired starting point of the play loop, press the IN/A button (5). The button is lit.
•
At the desired end point of the play loop, press the OUT/B button (8). The IN/A and OUT/B buttons (5 and 8)
flash.
•
The play loop is now played continuously until the OUT/B button (8) is pressed again.
•
A stored playback loop is indicated when the IN and OUT (5 and 8) buttons are lit. To start a saved play loop,
press the RELOOP button (9).
The existing play loop is deleted when a new play loop is programmed or a new track is selected.
l) Synchronisation of the Playback Speed
To mix or cross-fade two signal sources cleanly, the beats have to be synchronised in many cases.
This can be achieved in three ways:
•
Using the PITCH slide control (15). It allows you to permanently modify the speed. This function is used when
two tracks have two completely different tempos.
•
Using buttons PITCH BEND +/- (17 and 18). This allows you to change the speed temporarily. This function
is used when two tracks have the same beat but the starting point has to be synchronised.
•
Using the JOG wheel (2). By turning the wheel, you can change the speed temporarily. The speed change
depends on how quickly the JOG wheel (2) is turned. This function can also be used when two tracks have the
same beat but the starting point has to be synchronised.
PITCH slide control
•
Press the PITCH button (16) to activate the PITCH slide control (15). The PITCH button (16) is lit.
•
Modify playback speed by moving the PITCH slide control (15) up or down. The percentage of the speed
change is displayed. Put the slide control in centre position for original speed.
