 8. THE PELLET

Description:

Pellet is a product obtained by pressing sawdust from
dry, high-calorie wood. Sawdust is subjected to high
pressure where it heats up and creates a natural binder.
No additional binders are allowed during pressing. As a
pure biomass product, the pellet is CO2 neutral, i.e. it
does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. Wood as
the basic ingredient of pellets is a renewable energy
source and the fuel of the future.

This stove uses pellet of 6 mm in diameter and
10-25 mm in length, otherwise issues may
occur in the operation of the stove.

The pellet quality is defined by the

DIN 51731

standard

Pellet characteristics:

Pellet length …..................................................  10-25mm
Pellet diameter.........................................................≤6mm
Load density.......................................................650kg/m

Energy value........................................................5kWh/kg
Moisture .................................................................   6-8%
Ash..........................................................................<1.5%
Specific weight...................................................>1kg/dm

Use of pellet in MBS stoves:

We recommend procuring the pellet from authorized
pellet distributors and manufacturers who can guarantee
for the pellet quality. The pellet should be stored in
conditions prescribed by the manufacturer.
In case the pellet becomes wet, certain issues may
occur in the operation of the stove. If you buy pellet
made of low-quality wood that contains resin, the stove
will not function properly. Some of the operating issues
are:
• Large quantity of dust
• The stove quickly becomes dirty and needs

frequent cleaning

• The fire-pot is not completely cleaned during stove operation
• The fire-pot overloads
• The glass quickly becomes dirty and black
• Inadequate combustion in the firebox
• Dispenser clogging
• Vacuum in the storage due to the pellet sticking to the

pellet storage walls

Should any of the above occur,

“Milan Blagojević“

A.D. Smederevo

shall not be found liable.
