Ensure male spade connector is fully inserted into wire tap.
Check to see that the spade connector did not miss the slot.
Check to see that it is not visible on either side of the female
connector.

Connect Ground
1. Connect EC harness to ground.
a) Cover corner of A-pillar and dashboard with a
shop rag to catch shavings and prevent damage
to interior components.

b) Insert 8mm self-tapping screw from installation
kit, through ground ring of EC harness.
c) Using power driver and 8mm socket, drive screw
into recessed area of the A-pillar as shown.

Correct location and angle of self-tapping screw is needed in
order to ensure proper function of mirror and to prevent damage
to the A-pillar or screw.

Be sure ground ring does not obstruct rectangular hole used to
secure A-pillar trim.
