switched to the keep warm mode (the indi-
cator (10) is on). For this purpose set the
switch (3) to the position .
– Ensure that water level is not below the tap
(9) level and not above the mark (4) «MAX».
If there is not enough water in the samovar,
open the lid (6) and fill it with water.
– Pour water into a bowl of suitable height,
place it under the tap (9) and turn the han-
dle (8).
– After the unit operation, switch it off by set-
ting the switch (1) to the position «0», and
unplug it.
– Wait till the unit cools down completely and
pour out the unused water.
Attention!
•
After boiling the water the unit will be
switched to the keep warm mode auto-
matically. As water cools down, the
unit’s heating element will be switched
on automatically, the indicator (11)
will light up.
•
Shut the unit off by setting the switch (1)
to the position «0»!
•
Always shut the unit off using the switch
(1) when you are not using it.
•
If you have accidentally switched the
unit on, but the amount of water appears
to be insufficient, the automatic thermal
switch will be on and the samovar will be
switched off. Unplug the unit and let it
cool down for 5-10 minutes, then fill the
samovar with water and switch it on, the
unit will operate in normal mode.
Using the teapot (14)
– Install the filter (13) into the teapot (14) as
shown on the picture 1.
– Put the required amount of tea into the fil-
ter (13).
– Fill the teapot with hot water, placing it under
the tap (9) and turning the handle (8).
– Cover the teapot (14) with the lid (12) match-
ing the marks 5on the lid and on the teapot.
– To warm up the teapot (14), remove the
samovar lid (6) and set the teapot (14) on
the ring (5), the samovar should operate in
keep warm mode (the indicator (10) is on).
Cleaning and care
– Before cleaning, disconnect the unit from
the mains, let it cool down and pour out
water.
– Clean the outer surface of samovar with a
soft damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
– Do not use metal brushes, abrasives and
solvents to clean the samovar.
– Do not immerse the samovar, the power
cord and the plug into water or other liquids.
– Do not wash the samovar in a dishwashing
machine.
– Wash the teapot (14) and the filter (13) with
warm water and neutral detergent, then
rinse them and dry.
– You may also wash the teapot (14) and the
filter (13) in a dishwasher.
Stains on the inner surface of the samovar
The inner surface of the samovar body may
slightly change its color under the influence of
different water impurities.
– To remove the stains wet a cloth with citric
acid or vinegar and wipe the inner surface of
the samovar body.
– To remove the citric acid or vinegar taste
boil the water and pour it out. Repeat this
procedure till the smell and taste vanish
completely.
Descaling
– Scale, appearing inside the samovar, influ-
ences the water taste and disturbs the heat
exchange between water and heating ele-
ment.
– To remove the scale fill the unit with a mix-
ture of one part ordinary vinegar and two
parts water till the maximal level mark (4)
«MAX».
– Plug the unit in and switch the boiling mode
on, leave the samovar operating in the keep
warm mode for 30 minutes.
– Reboil the mixture by setting the switch (3)
to the position .
– After the mixture reboiling, switch the unit off
by setting the switch (1) to the position «0»,
and unplug it.
– Let the unit cool down and then pour out the
mixture, preliminary removing the lid (6) and
the ring (5).
