INSTALLING PLASTIC OVERSHOE
(fig 3 )
1. Unplug the tool.
2. Place the overshoe over the front of
metal footplate and snap it into place
at the rear of footplate.
INSTALLING ANTI-SPLINTER INSERT
(fig 4)
1. Unplug the tool and turn the saw
upside down.
2. Align the grooves on the insert with
the ribs on the jigsaw or on the plastic
overshoe, and then insert the front of
the insert.
3. Squeeze the rear tabs of the anti-
splinter insert and press the insert into
the saw or the plastic overshoe.
INSTALLING THE EDGE GUIDE (fig 5)
The edge guide is used for straight
cutting:
1. Insert the bar of the edge guide
through the slots in the base of the saw
with the edge guide facing down. It
can be inserted from either side of the
base.
2. Screw the edge-guide locking knob
into the threaded hole in the base to
tighten the edge guide bar in place.
3. Measure the distance from the edge
of the workpiece to the cutting line.
Slide the edge guide to this desired distance and tighten the locking knob to
secure the edge guide in place.
