Optional Message Transmission / Optional Relay Control Outputs
In addition to the group message and standard control outputs the system can be expanded
with up to 40 (the number depends on the device type) programmable monostable relay control
outputs.
Pulse Duration for the Message Transmission Function
The pulse duration for the dynamic message transmission is selectable.
Range of application:
Message channel
Default value:
800 ms
Parameter range:
100 ms to 60 s
Message Transmission Function
Three types of message transmission are supported (function block Message transmission).
The assignment ‘message input channel to message output channel’ is fixed.
1. Static message transmission
The contacts close as soon as one or several of the assigned inputs are present; they open
when none of the assigned inputs are present.
2. Static message transmission with acknowledgement
The contacts close as soon as one or several of the assigned inputs are present, and open
upon acknowledgement of the inputs, irrespective of whether inputs are still present or not.
3. Dynamic message transmission
The contacts close (pulse triggering) as soon as one of the assigned inputs is present - the
specified pulse duration is taken into account.
Range of application:
Message channel
Default value:
Static message transmission
Monitoring Functions
Important device functions are automatically monitored. Possible faults are recorded so that the
current monitoring status can be determined at any time. Faults are also indicated by LED FA
on the device front.
In addition, message relay contact 2 can be set to operate as fault alarm and voltage
monitoring contact.
Function
Fault alarm relay output / voltage monitoring
Range of application:
Annunciator relay 2
Default value:
Fault alarm output not active
Parameter range:
