Management of the Overlay panel
This function, available in the print driver, is used to print a card using one of the following overlay functions
available:

According to card mask - the overlay function is applied only to previously defined areas

Nothing - no overlay function

User bitmap – used to print a card from a file that contains the same background graphics without
having to retransmit the background information in each print file. If used correctly, may improve printing
efficiency.
In the case of a Half panel, it is possible to select whether the panel with Overlay is to be applied to the
entire card (
Full flag on ) or only to the zone corresponding to the colour half panel ( Half flag on ).
User bitmap type overlay
Selecting the “user bmp” function from the drop-down menu, it is possible to select the areas to which the
Overlay is to be applied. To do this, create a file with
bmp extension and colour depth at 1 bit (e.g. with the
Microsoft Paint application) in which the areas in which to apply the Overlay are coloured. Selecting this file
from the drop-down menu, the Overlay will be applied to the black areas as indicated in the file selected.
