5.7.4 Practical
example
Explained is a logical block example for a sliding roof
control. The roof has two positions: Open and
Closed. Only closing the roof is described here.

The motor switch is flipped to the right to close the
roof. The end switch indicates when the roof is open.
With the motor switch flipped to the right, the roof
moves to the right until it reaches the end switch.
When the end switch is closed (1), the drive must
stop.
Shown are three situations.
•
The roof is in open position, the end switch is
open (0).
•
The roof is being closed, the end switch is open
(0).
•
The roof is in closed position, the end switch is
closed (1).
The motor switch, the drive and the end switch have
to be introduced to the Digital DC by means of
channel configuration, see below.
