During the initial break-in cycle, there
may
be a slight electrical smell as the motor brushes seat. This is
normal for universal motors and should go away after a short period of time.
DAILY START-UP
1. Close the tank
drain valve
(see
D
). Turn in a clockwise
direction.
2. Plug in the power cord.
High temperatures are generated by the electric motor and the pump. To prevent burns or
other injuries, DO NOT touch the air compressor while it is running. Allow it to cool before handling or
servicing. Keep children away from the air compressor at all times.
3. Press the ON/OFF button to the ON position (the on/off icon and tool icon will show in the top left corner of the display).
4. Adjust the regulated pressure to the working pressure of the tool by pressing the “+” button to increase pressure
and the “-“ button to decrease pressure or use the preset buttons in the control panel. The “30/40/60” button is
preset to 30, or 40, or 60 PSI and the “90” button is preset to 90 PSI.
5. To see how much pressure is in the tank, press and hold the tank pressure button down. A tank will be displayed
in the LCD display window until the button is released.
Note:
1. If you press on/off switch when the unit is at “ON” status and the tank pressure is between 105 – 135 PSI,
the unit will not automatically start up until you release the tank pressure to lower than 105 PSI.
2. The unit has to be “ON” status when you want to regulate the outlet pressure.
SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURE
1. Press the on/off button to the OFF position (the on/off icon and the tool icon will no longer be visible in the top
left corner of the display).
2. Unplug the power cord.
3. Reduce pressure in the tank through the outlet hose. You can also pull the relief valve ring (See
F
) and keep it
open to relieve pressure in the tank.
Escaping air and moisture can propel debris that may cause eye injury. Wear safety goggles
when opening drain valve.
4. Open the drain valve (see
B
) to allow moisture to drain from the tank.
