07. ELECTRONIC CONTROLS
UNCO is designed for the handling of roller blinds without tension hooks, or fitted with manual hooks, or fitted with hooks with automatic hooking / unhooking. In presence of hooks,
they must be installed at a maximum distance of 20 cm from the lower end.
There is no management of safety hooks. If the motor during upward movement finds an obstacle, the motor makes a brief downward motion to decrease the traction on fabric.
07.1 «NO HOOKS» MODE
WARNING! DO NOT memorize radio sensors when motor is set on this mode!!
If during the upward movement, the motor encounters an obstacle in the vicinity of the lower limit switch, the motor interprets the obstacle such as the presence of the manual
hooks, stops the upward movement and keeps the fabric taut. During the short manoeuvre of engagement / release (maximum 5 seconds) the manual controls are inhibited.
OPERATION OF ENGAGEMENT:
- Command the downward movement and wait until the motor reaches the lower limit switch
- Activate the hooks manually
- Command the upward movement: when he meets the hooks, the motor stops the manoeuvre and keeps the fabric in tension (the up command is disabled)
OPERATION OF RELEASE:
- Command the downward movement: the motor returns to the lower limit
- Unlocks the hooks manually
- Command the upward movement
During the upward movement, outside of the «hooking area», if the motor encounters an obstacle it performs a brief downward movement to free the structure from traction.
07.2 «MANUAL HOOKS» MODE
If during the upward movement, the motor encounters an obstacle in the vicinity of the lower limit switch, the motor interprets the obstacle such as the presence of the automatic hooks,
stops the upward movement and keeps the fabric taut. Commanding an upward movement, the motor goes to the lower limit switch, then moves upward thus allowing automatic
release from the hooks. During the short manoeuvre of engagement / release (maximum 5 seconds) the manual controls are inhibited. In the event that unhooking is not to be
successful, the motor try again the disengage for a maximum of 3 times, then remains in the engagement position.
OPERATION OF ENGAGEMENT:
- Command the downward movement and wait until the motor performs the engagement manoeuvre (the down command is inhibited)
OPERATION OF RELEASE:
- Command the upward movement and wait until the motor performs the release manoeuvre
During the upward movement, outside of the «hooking area», if the motor encounters an obstacle it performs a brief downward movement to free the structure from traction.
note: any issues relating to the phase of engagement / release of the hooks must be search in their installation or in their mechanical characteristics. The motor performs the
standard manoeuvre required for the engagement / release of the most common hooks on the market. The motor manufacturer declines all liability due to malfunction of the
automatic hooks.
07.3 «AUTOMATIC HOOKS» MODE
The motor is able to detect the presence of an obstacle during the upward manoeuvre. If the obstacle is interpreted as a hook, the motor stops and keeps the fabric in tension. If the
obstacle is detected in such a position that it can not be a hook, the motor stops the upward movement and performs a quick downward movement to free the structure by traction.
07.4 Obstacle detection on upward
Only if offset adapter is properly installed, the motor is able to detect the presence of obstacles during the downward movements. If the motor detects an obstacle, the operation is
stopped and the motor performs a wide upward movement to allow removal of the obstacle. During this manoeuvre, the manual controls are disabled. The motor is able to detect
obstacles that stop instantly the roller blind (ie such as to block firmly the operation); obstacles that block the roller shutter only partially might not be detected by the motor.
If necessary, you can inhibit this properties (see point 18 "Obstacle detection on downward").
07.5 Obstacle detection on downward
If the motor intercepts an abnormal operating condition (for example, a system error, the corruption of the information contained in the memory ...), the motor refuses to perform the
manoeuvre commanded and indicates the fault with small movements. In this case you should consult a qualified technician to restore the proper functioning of the engine (see
section 20, «Error signal and recovery operation").
