2)
Remove the two screws over the Battery Connector Plate. Save the Plate in
case you no longer need an EBB later on.
3)
Connect the EBB Battery Connector to the UPS Battery Connector. Make
sure to align the correct colors on the EBB Battery Connector to the UPS
Battery Connector.
4)
Secure in place with the two screws from the UPS Battery Connector Plate.
5)
Connect equipment to the UPS outlet sockets.
6)
Connect the input power cord of UPS to mains and turn the UPS ON. No
setting changes are required, the UPS will automatically detect the EBB.
WARNING:
Check the battery voltage rating marked on the rear panel before
replacing any batteries. Using the wrong battery voltage may cause
permanent damage of the UPS.
WARNING:
Pay special attention to the polarity marking on external battery
terminal block, and make sure the correct battery polarity is connected.
WARNING:
Using the wrong battery connector may cause permanent
damage of the UPS and/or EBB. Only use the supplied external battery cable
to connect the EBB and UPS. Third-party EBBs and EBBs not specifically
made for your UPS will void all warranties.

If there isn’t any specified external battery cable, please prepare the external
battery cable that should be able to carry the current of >42A for 3KVA model,
and >28A for 1KVA & 2KVA models. The cross-section area should be
greater than 10 mm² for 3KVA, and greater than 4 mm² for 1KVA & 2KVA
models. The battery wire color is recommended as following:
+
GND
-
Red wire
Yellow/Green wire
Black wire
a)
Connect the GND pole of external battery cable to the earth point of
battery pack. Connect the Positive (+) pole of external battery cable to
the Positive polarity of battery pack. Connect the Negative (-) pole of
external battery cable to the Negative polarity of battery pack.
Note:
Always connect the ground wire first for safety!
b)
Connect the external battery cable plug to the external battery terminal
block on the rear panel of UPS.
c)
Check the wiring and voltage of the battery pack. Make sure the polarity
and voltage are correct, and the wires are fastened.

A maximum of 3 external battery banks can be connected in parallel to the
UPS. Do not add more than 3 or your UPS will underperform and possibly
damage the UPS or battery banks.
Note:
Never connect or disconnect EBBs when the UPS is running on battery
power.
