11. Operating the Assemblies
11.1.
Reeler
The unreeler is intended to create the torque at the reeling shaft that is necessary to maintain the
selected web tension. The torque is calculated as a function of the specified web tension of the current
diameter, and the web width of the processed material.
A reeler is driven by a servomotor. The motors are intended to provide the torque at the tensioning
shaft that is required to maintain the web tension selected for the production process at a constant
value.
In "standard reeler" reeling operation, the reeler is torque-controlled. This means that a motor torque is
specified for the reeler. In this mode, a reeler can run synchronously to the master drive.

Touching the icon or
the monitor opens a pop-up window in the right-hand screen section. The navigation bar
disappears.
