Dehnspannfutter HydroChuck / Hydraulic chuck HydroChuck
Warning
Clamping and unclamping with the machine not stationary.
Clamping and unclamping the hydraulic chuck with the machine
running may result in serious injuries to the fingers and hands.
Switch off the machine. Only clamp and unclamp the hydraulic
chuck with the machine stationary or with it outside the machine.
Caution
Sharp cutting edges on the tool
can cause cutting injuries.
Wear protective gloves during tool changes.
NOTE
Ensure all components of the
hydraulic chuck are free of dirt and
grease.
1. Clean the shank on the tool and the
location bore of the hydraulic chuck (see
"Figure 8: Cleaning hydraulic chuck and
tool", item 1).

2. Push the tool, shank first, as far as the
tool length setting screw in the location
bore of the hydraulic chuck (see "Figure
9: Inserting tool").

Caution
Minimum clamping depth in the hydraulic chuck is not observed.
If the minimum clamping depth is not respected, the permissible
transferable torque will be reduced and the hydraulic chuck may
break.
Comply with the values for minimum clamping depth as per "Table
1: Minimum number of turns, minimum clamping depth and
permissible transferable torque".
Caution
The radial or axial tool length setting screw is tightened with the
wrong screwdriver.
Tightening the tool length setting screw with the wrong screwdriver will
result in damage to the tool length setting screw.
Use only a hex wrench with T-key to tighten the tool length setting
screw.
