WELDING
- Disconnect the batter y before any welding operations on the lift truck.
- When carr ying out electric welding work on the lift truck, connect the negative cable from the equipment directly to the par t being
welded, so as to avoid high tension current passing through the alternator.
- Never carr y out welding or work which gives off heat on an assembled tyre. The heat would increase the pressure which could
cause the tyre to explode.
- If the lift truck is equipped with an electronic control unit, disconnect this before star ting to weld, to avoid the risk of causing
irreparable damage to electronic components.
WASHING THE LIFT TRUCK
- Clean the lift truck or at least the area concerned before any inter vention.
- Remember to close and lock all accesses to the lift truck (doors, windows, cowls…).
- During washing, avoid the ar ticulations and electrical components and connections.
- If necessar y, protect against penetration of water, steam or cleaning agents, components susceptible of being damaged,
par ticularly electrical components and connections and the injection pump.
- Clean the lift truck of any fuel, oil or grease trace.
