• If the boat passes the inspection, the second owner must (i) provide the completed
warranty transfer form to the authorized sales facility and (ii) provide the $500
transfer fee to the authorized sales facility (in addition to any charges such facility
may have for their inspection services). The Malibu Boats authorized sales facility
shall promptly provide to Malibu Boats the inspection form, the warranty transfer
form and the $500 transfer fee.
No warranty transfer shall be effective until the warranty transfer form and
accompanying documents are received by Malibu Boats. No warranty transfer shall serve
to expand the coverage of, extend the duration of or create any new rights under the
Malibu Boats Limited Warranty beyond that which were available to the boat’s original
owner. Malibu Boats retains the right to deny warranty transfers to boats that are
damaged or have been abused.
This Malibu Boats Limited Warranty does not provide coverage for owners of boats
manufactured in the United States by Malibu Boats, LLC and imported into Australia or
New Zealand. This Malibu Boats Limited Warranty does not provide coverage to any
boat purchased from a dealer in another country, where the primary use of the boat will
require the boat to cross an international border.
What “Is” Covered by the Malibu Boats Limited
Warranty
Coverages:
Base Limited Warranty
For a period of thirty-six (36) months beginning on the date the boat is purchased by the
first retail purchaser through an authorized Malibu Boats sales facility, or, beginning on
the date the boat was first put into service as a demonstrator or otherwise, whichever is
earlier, Malibu Boats will repair substantial manufacturing defects related to materials or
workmanship supplied by it during construction of the boat.
Tower Structural Limited Warranty
For a period of thirty-six (36) months beginning on the date the boat is purchased by the
first retail purchaser through an authorized Malibu Boats sales facility, or, beginning on
the date the boat was first put into service as a demonstrator or otherwise, whichever is
earlier, Malibu Boats will repair substantial manufacturing defects related to structural
materials or structural workmanship supplied by it during construction and installation of
the boat’s tower.
Tower Cosmetic Limited Warranty
For a period of twelve (12) months beginning on the date the boat is purchased by the
first retail purchaser through an authorized Malibu Boats sales facility, or, beginning on
the date the boat was first put into service as a demonstrator or otherwise, whichever is
earlier, Malibu Boats will repair substantial manufacturing defects related to cosmetic
materials or cosmetic workmanship supplied by it during construction and installation of
the boat’s tower.
The Tower Cosmetic Limited Warranty is Not Transferable.
