4.3 Predictable misuses
The manufacturer is not liable for damages
caused by usage not for the intended
purpose.
Under no circumstances should
the unit be used:

Close to flammable materials, liquids or
gases.
●
For the conveying of chemicals, aggressive
gases or vapours.
●
In potentially explosive atmospheres.
●
In swimming pools.
●
In combination with laboratory extractors.
●
Do not fit controller components near a
shower as there is no splash water
protection.
●
A controlled domestic ventilation unit with
EW brine earth heat exchanger is not an
air-conditioning unit.

The EW system is controlled through the
EW-S controller. If the system is switched
on, the display lighting switches on first
after a button is pressed.

If no button is pressed for approx. 2 mi-
nutes, the display switches back to the
starting display. The lighting switches off
after further 2 minutes.

current outside air temperature at the output
of the brine register to the room air system.

P1 summer operation
The switch-on point of the circulation pump
(summer operation) can be set in steps of
1 °C, in the range from 18 °C and 26 °C.
The circulation pump is activated if the
outside air temperature (sensor T1) drops
below the set value during the months from
April to October.
If the circulation pump is activated, the
outside air is cooled and dehumidified if
required, by the EW-K 225 brine register.
The circulation pump is switched off again
once the temperature drops below the switch-
on point value.
