11. Cleaning
DANGER
Danger to life from electric shock.
Prior to access to the connection
terminals switch off all supply circuits.
Switch off mains fuse, secure against
being accidentally switched back on and
position a visible warning sign
NOTICE
Damage to unit if incorrect cleaning
agent is used.
Only clean cover [4] and
designer cover [8] with water. Do not use
aggressive cleaning agents.
NOTICE
For K units: Lamella may break if
cleaned incorrectly.
Take care when cleaning. Do not
exercise force when opening, shutting or
bending the lamella.
1. Clean inside parts of the fan with a dry
cloth only.
2. If the designer cover [8] is very dirty, care-
fully remove it from cover [7] and clean it
with water.
3. Fit designer cover [8]. Ensure that the 4
studs engage correctly in the cover [7].
4. Remove device fitted to prevent switch-on,
activate mains fuse and perform function
test.
12. Fault rectification
Fault finding only by trained specia-
lists. Call on the services of a trained
electrician any time there is a fault. Repairs
should only be carried out by a trained
electrician.

impeller and clean if necessary.
Fan does not
switch on.
No mains voltage.
Check whether the mains fuse
has failed. Switch on if
necessary.

Motor too hot. Motor’s thermal
overload protection switches the
fan off.
Wait until the motor has cooled.
The cool-down time may be up
to 60 minutes.
Unit switches back on
automatically after cooling.
Lamella do
not open or
close for K
units.
Lamella very dirty or blocked.
Clean lamella. Check whether
there is anything between the
lamella.
Remove if necessary.
