3 Operation 

3.1 Preparations 

 

If the deceleration test is to be conducted with a pedal force meter or a pressure sensor, 
connect the device to the 9-pin connector on the left-hand side of the VZM 300. 

To support the battery connect the on-board cable from the cigarette lighter to the 8-pin 
connector on the left-hand side of the VZM 300. 

Measurements with on-board supply only are not possible. 

If the deceleration test is to be conducted with a mechanical hand trigger, connect it to the 8-pin 
connector (instead of the on-board cable). 

For details see section 4 "Trigger Menu". 

 

Positioning the VZM 300 in the vehicle 

Place the VZM 300 in the 
front leg room on a rubber 
mat or something similar. 

Level the meter using the 
adjusting screw (see section 
3.4.1). 

 

Positioning the pedal force meter on the brake pedal 

Place the meter on the 
brake pedal and fasten it 
using the straps provided. 

Plug in the connector.
