keep the button pressed (for more than four seconds) to confirm the selected pulse value. After setting the
pulse value it is no longer possible to change it.
The format of the displayed values depends on the set pulse value:

It is necessary to set the impulse weight correctly according to the pulse output value of the installed flow
meter as it is necessary to maintain the minimum frequency of impulses for a correct calculation of the flow
rate.
5.1
Connecting the Components
The installation must be carried out exclusively by authorized and specialized personnel.
Any costs caused by failure to comply with the instructions and information contained in the installation and use
manuals or resulting from installation defects or faults will be charged to the installer.
First of all, is necessary to set the pulse value of the calculator (as indicated in the first page of the manual), after
that the flow meter and at the end, the temperature sensors.
At delivery, the display shows „H 05“until temperature sensors have been attached.
This message disappears as
soon as temperature sensors have been connected and the first temperature measurement is carried out (every 15
minutes without flow).
The calculator connections have been designed to meet the valid standard EN1434-2. All terminal strips have been
labelled according to this standard.
The terminal strips are located under the cover of the calculator housing.
5.1.1 Mounting the flow meter
The pulse output of the flow meter to be connected to the calculator must be identical to the calculator input pulse
value. Check the technical data of the flow meter and compare it to the specifications on the calculator.
Mounting
-
Loosen the middle cable gland and glide it over the flow meter cable.
-
Remove the blind plug in the cable gland opening. Feed the pulse cable of the flow meter through the
opening into the terminal box.
-
Clamp on the wires as shown in the illustration.
Note: For flow meters with open collector connections (electronic outputs) make sure the polarity is correct.
-
Check that the connections are tight.
-
Screw the cable gland tight by hand.
In order to be able to calculate the operating flow, the electronic unit allows you to select two modes of impulse
management:
-
Synchronous: ideal for meters with reed output (mechanical meters)
-
Asynchronous: ideal for meters with electronic pulse train output (electronic meters) - default setting
The pulse acquisition method can always be modified using the appropriate programming tool (not directly from
the device)
The maximum permissible length of the cable used for connecting the volume meter is 10 m.
It is not allowed to run this cable together with other power cables.
