MPLEMENTING
ICAP
Beginning with SWG release 10.2.0, SWG can provide ICAP Services and can use external ICAP
Services. Prior to this release, SWG could only provide ICAP Services.
This chapter contains the following main topics:

Configuring SWG To Provide ICAP Services
To enable SWG to provide ICAP Services, you need to configure the
ICAP
Service
module, previously
called just “ICAP”, on the relevant scanning servers.

To configure the ICAP Service module
1. Select

2. Do either of the following:
• To configure ICAP Service module defaults, choose

• To configure ICAP Service settings for a specific non cloud scanning server, choose

The
ICAP
Service
module window contains five tabs, in addition to an
Enable
ICAP
Service
checkbox.
3. In the main window, click
Edit
.
4. To enable the ICAP Service, select the
Enable
ICAP
Service
checkbox.
5. In the
ICAP
Service
tab, specify the following, as needed:
•
Listening
IP
— local IP on which the ICAP Service listens.
•
Listening
Port
— local port through which the ICAP Service listens.
6. In the
ICAP
Clients
tab, define the details of each ICAP client that can request ICAP Services from
SWG as follows:
a. Click the
icon to add an ICAP Client detail line.
NOTE:
Cloud
scanning
servers
do
NOT
have
or
need
an
ICAP
Service
module.
