You can reduce the risks considerably by following
the tips below:
– Maintain the device in accordance with the
instructions in the operating instructions.
– Avoid working at low temperatures.
– When it is cold, make sure your body and your
hands, in particular, are kept warm.
– Take regular breaks and move your hands at the
same time to promote circulation.

Operation
Charging the battery pack
• The battery pack must be charged prior to the
first start-up (charging time:
– Press in the locking button (10) and remove the
battery from the device (
– Insert the battery pack into the charger (
– Plug the charger into the power supply.
The charging status is displayed by the control
lights (8) and (9):
• Green control light (9) flashes = Battery pack is
charging.
• Green control light (9) lights = Battery pack is
fully charged.
• Red control light (8) lights = Battery pack is too
hot/too cold. The charging process will start
once the battery pack has cooled down/warmed
up.
• Red control light (8) flashes = Battery pack is
defective. Do not continue to use the battery
pack!
– Slot the battery pack into the device and make
sure it clicks into place correctly.
Checking the remaining capacity of the battery
– Press the button (11).
The remaining capacity of the battery is displayed by
the control lights on the display (12):
If the left control light starts to flash, the battery must
be recharged.
Removing a tool
– Twist by 90° and pull the tool holder (1) back.
– Remove the tool.
Wear goggles when working with the de-
vice.
Wear ear defenders when working with the
device.
When working with tools that cause con-
siderable dust, wear a dust protection
mask.
Do
not
wear protective gloves when work-
ing with the device.
Wear tight fitting clothes when working
with the device.
If you have long hair, cover or wear a hair
net.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Do
not allow the battery pack to deep dis-
charge.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the unit!
Do
not press the On/Off switch after the device
has deactivated automatically.
Note:
The Li-Ion battery pack can be
charged at any time without affecting the
lifetime of the unit. Interrupting the charging
process will not damage the battery pack.
Note:
If the battery is fully loaded, the
charger automatically switches over to the
maintenance charge function. The battery
can thus remain in the charger perma-
nently.
NOTICE! Risk of injury!
Shortly after
being used, the tool may be very hot. Risk
of burning! Allow a hot tool to cool down.
Never clean a hot tool with flammable liq-
uids.
