Auxiliary Oil Mist Generator 

The JD includes an auxiliary or spare oil mist generator. The spare unit is provided for use when 
maintenance or repair operations are to be performed on the main oil mist generator. A power switch is 
provided for removing electrical power to the spare unit when it is not in service. The auxiliary oil mist 
generator is to be operated independently of the main oil mist generator.  The separate power switch for the 
auxiliary heater allows the user to bring the oil in the auxiliary reservoir to its normal operating temperature 
before having to turn off the main oil mist generator.  This spare unit is equipped with a mist generating head 
and a screw plug type oil immersion heater. The heater is preset to 120°F (49°C) and can be adjusted with 
an attached thermostatic controller located inside heater’s explosion and moisture resistant housing.  A 
temperature gauge is located on the reservoir for manual verification of proper thermostat control operation.
