(11) Adjusting HST control linkage (HST type)

Run engine and place the range gear shift lever in “Low” position.

Check if the HST tractor stops by taking the foot off from the pedal while driving.
If the tractor does not stop, stop the tractor immediately by using the brake pedal. And, adjust the
neutral position as below.

Adjustment of “NEUTRAL” position
of the HST control.
1. Stop tractor on a flat ground and stop the engine.
2. Lift the rear wheel of the tractor off the ground
sufficiently by using a hoist. If there is no hoist,
use the suitable lifting equipment. For the tractor
weight, refer to the section “6. Dimension and
Specification” in this manual.
3. Place the 4WD lever to “2WD” and apply wheel
chock to the front wheels. It is necessary for the
tractor not to move when engine starts.
4. Set the HST pedals

5. Loosen the locking bolt

and turn left/right

find out neutral position. If the neutral position is
ok, tighten the locking bolt

When adjusting, DO NOT get close to the cooling fan. It may cause the serious
injury.

When lifting the rear of the tractor, the tractor may incline to the left or right by
oscillating angle of the front axle. Insert the chock between front axle and engine
frame tightly.
Caution
6. After checking that neutral switch

enough, start engine. If not, loosen the screw,
and reset the position of the neutral switch

7. To adjust the returning speed of the HST pedals,
loosen locking bolt

, and adjust the stiffness of
the spring

8. After restarting engine, check the neutral position
again.
9. The stroke of the HST forward pedal

is about
15˚ when pressing the HST forward pedal. The
retracted stroke of the HST forward pedal is
about 10˚ when pressing HST reverse pedal. If is
not normal, adjust the stopper bolts
