Set to Page Staff or Guest Pagers
In cases where the unit will always page staff pagers, the keypad can be set to default paging either Guest
or Staff pagers. Factory default is Guest:
1. Press SETUP.
2. Press “MORE” (F1) until asked for the authorization code.
3. Type 5-6-7-8-9.
4. Press MORE (F1) to find 3: Default Mode.
5. Select 3: Default Mode.
6. Select Guest (F1) or Pager (F4).
Create Alpha Messages
If the staff pagers are Alpha types, they can display 77 built in messages and additional user defined mes-
sages of up to 32 characters (numbered 077 through 099).
1. Press SETUP.
2. Press “MORE” (F1) until asked for the authorization code.
3. Type 5-6-7-8-9.
4. Repeatedly press F1 until you see 2: Canned Msgs on the menu.
5. Press 2 to select Canned Msgs.
6. Press up (F2) or dn (F3) to scroll through the message list.
7. Press EDIT (F1) once.
8. At the Edit User Message screen select Edit (F1) or New (F2) to change or enter the message.
9. Enter the desired message using the number keys, waiting until the cursor moves between letters.
10. When finished, press EXIT (F4).
11. At the canned message screen, press EXIT (F4) to return to the menu selection or select the next
message to enter or edit.
Set Alarms
This function is used to set the transmitter to page individual or all STAFF pagers at a specific time or on a
timed interval. The transmitter can send 3 different time alarms or periodic alarms. Alarms may be set to
page a specific pager (or all pagers) at a specific time every day
1. Press Setup.
2. Press “MORE” (F1) until asked for the authorization code.
3. Type 5-6-7-8-9.
4. Repeatedly press F1 until you see 1: Set ALARMS on the menu.
5. Press 1.
6. From Pick Alarm, select the number of the alarm to set (0 through 2).
7. The Alarm Display screen shows the type and status of the selected alarm. Select Change (F1) to
enable/disable or modify the alarm.
Note:
If the alarm is already enabled as an interval alarm:
• Press YES (F1) to reset the timer and return to the paging menu.
• Press NO (F4) to continue to the ON/OFF menu.
8. At Turn ON or OFF select ON (F1) to enable or OFF (F2) to disable the alarm.
