 Use

this chart to determine the additional head
imposed on your pump due to pipe friction,
based on flow rate, pipe size and pipe length.
Consider the TOTAL pipe length from the pump
to the pipe outlet to the tank.

Pipe fittings

 impose additional friction loss. A

sharp 90° pipe elbow adds friction
approximately equal to 6 feet (2m) of pipe of
the same size.
