Why are SAS drives not being detected?

A SAS Option must be installed to activate SAS support. Please contact Logicube Sales to purchase
this option.

Why are FireWire drives not being detected?

The FireWire Option must be installed to activate the FireWire ports. Please contact Logicube Sales to
purchase this option.

How many concurrent tasks can the SuperSonix-NG run?

The SuperSonix-NG can run up to 5 concurrent tasks.

Can the SuperSonix-NG cone Linux partitions?

Yes. SuperSonix-NG can clone Linux partitions using Mirror or Clever clone.

Can the SuperSonix-NG image a Hierarchical File System (HFS)?

Yes, SuperSonix-NG can image HFS using Mirror clone.

Can the SuperSonix-NG clone to smaller capacity Target drives?

Yes. For details on how to clone to smaller capacity Target drives, see

How does the SuperSonix-NG handle bad sectors on the Master drive?

SuperSonix-NG will retry the bad sector 7 times. After the 7

attempt, if the sector still cannot be

read, it will skip that sector and list the sector in the log file.

What operating system does SuperSonix-NG use?

SuperSonix-NG uses a Linux-based operating system. A Linux-based operating system provides
increased stability and security over Windows-based systems.

What file format does SuperSonix-NG use when formatting target drives?

SuperSonix-NG can format target drives using the NT File System (NTFS) or EXT4 file system.

Does cloning performance slow down when multiple drives are imaged at the same time?
