Chapter 3: Procedures

HYDROBAR EXPRESS 220

Step 4: The gain adjustment is found on the side of the switch. With the small screwdriver, turn the gain adjustment CCW until it will

no longer turn, this is the “zero” position. Now, slowly turn the gain adjustment CW until the bar is detected and continue
with another ½ turn. (Detection is verified by a solid yellow LED found above the gain adjustment).

Note:

With the beam centered on the bar and the yellow LED on, pull the bar out of the channel and place it on the loader

rack; the yellow LED should turn off. Perform a bar load from the remote operators pendant and the beam should detect the
bar once it has been dumped into the channel. Repeat this task a couple of times and make sure the sensing beam
consistently detects the bar once it has settled.

Step 5: Tighten the split collar and recheck the consistency of the beam detection to make sure the switch did not shift when

tightening the split collar.
