Troubleshooting

PROBLEM

I am using the Gocator Conveyor Utility.  I have connected my sensor to my PC and it is
powered but not listed in the application.

SOLUTION

The senor ships from LMI with an IP address of 192.168.1.10, subnet 255.255.255.0.  Check
the IP address of your PC or laptop Ethernet adapter connected to the sensor and ensure
this is 192.168.1.x, subnet 255.255.255.0. x cannot equal 10 (sensor) or 5 (smart display).

PROBLEM

I am using the Gocator Conveyor Utility and connected to a sensor but do not see a profile,
what did I do wrong?

SOLUTION

Check to see if the sensor’s RANGE LED is illuminated.  If not, check the distance between
the laser window and your conveyor, this should be 73” or less.  Also, the sensor’s laser line
needs to be perpendicular to the conveyor.

PROBLEM

My measurement display is not showing any measurements.

SOLUTION

Open the Gocator Conveyor Utility and verify the sensor IP address has been configured to
192.168.1.10.  Changing this will prevent communication between the sensor and smart
display.
