INSERT THE CHILD
2a.
Pull out the stabiliser leg (fig 1) and with the
carrier on the ground, loosen the side wing straps,
child’s shoulder straps and seat-height strap.
2b.
With a foot firmly on the stabiliser leg to ensure
the carrier remains stable, place the child in the seat.
2c.
Tighten the seat-height strap until the child’s chin
is in line with the top of the face pad (fig 2).
2d.
Place the child’s shoulder straps over the child’s
shoulders, fasten and tighten.
2e.
Tighten the side wing straps, ensuring the child’s
arms are not restricted or trapped.
Caution: Ensure child is comfortable and secure
before proceeding any further (fig 2).
LIFT THE CARRIER
3a.
Crouch down and place the right arm through the
right shoulder strap.
3b.
Grip the bottom of the carrier with the right hand
and the top of the right shoulder strap with the left
hand (fig 3).
3c.
Slowly stand, lifting the carrier onto the back
ensuring the child remains upright at all times. Whilst
continuing to hold the grab handle with the right hand,
let go of the right shoulder strap with the left hand and
place the left arm through the left shoulder strap.
3d.
Fasten the hip belt and the chest strap.
Caution: Ensure all straps and fastenings are tight
and secure before beginning your journey (fig 4).
FITTING
ADJUST THE BACKSYSTEM & STRAPS
1a.
Loosen the hip belt, shoulder straps and four
stabiliser straps.
1b.
Put the carrier on, then fasten and tighten the hip
belt. When fitted correctly, the hip belt should ‘sit’
comfortably on the hip bone.
1c.
Tighten the shoulder straps until comfortable and
secure.
1d.
With the carrier fitted and the hip belt and
shoulder straps correctly fastened, move the upper
stabiliser strap adjuster so that it is positioned on the
top of the shoulder. Then tighten both the upper and
lower stabiliser straps.
1e.
Fasten the chest strap and position 4cm below the
protruding points of the collar bone; adjust if
necessary.
