The units are checked before delivery and are in perfect wor-
king order. Please observe these operating instructions and
find out before installation whether a sufficient flow in the
cooling system is guaranteed when operating the unit!
This product meets the requirements of the applicable Euro-
pean and national directives.
Damage to the unit due to overheating and reduced flow,
as well as air in the cooling system and heating element,
etc., manifests itself in the form of defective fuses, defective
pump unit or fuses or RCD switches that switch off. These
malfunctions can be traced back to assembly errors or ope-
rating errors!
The above-mentioned malfunctions and defects are not
covered by the guarantee!
Intended use
The engine preheater is used to preheat the cooling water
and thus also the engine components of a vehicle before a
cold start. This makes it possible to achieve lower wear and
reduced fuel consumption in the cold-start phase. The unit
must only be powered from a proper 220-240V ~/50Hz po-
wer outlet with protective contacts. Never connect the unit to
any other supply voltage. Any use other than that described
above will damage the appliance and may result in hazards
such as short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. The unit must
not be modified or converted. The safety instructions must
be followed without fail.

Assembly
Caution: Risk of injury when working in the engine compart-
ment.
Engine components can be hot even when the engine is not
running. Radiator fans can start automatically even when the
engine is not running. Installation must be carried out by a
specialist company or a specialist.
Modifications to the vehicle necessitated by the installation
of the unit must always be carried out in such a way that
they do not impair road safety or the structural stability of
the motor vehicle.
If there is any doubt about the selection of the installation
location, please contact your vehicle dealer.
Before installation, check whether the preheater can be
installed and whether the coolant flows through the heating
system when the ignition is switched off, i.e. whether it is
not blocked.
The preheater and its connecting cable must not come into
contact with hot or moving parts, and the connecting cable
must not be crushed, overstressed or severely bent. The
preheater must be mounted freely and must not touch any
engine components. When installing the preheater, the con-
necting cable must not be connected to a power outlet. The
connecting cable remains in the vehicle and must be laid in
a suitable place and secured with cable ties. It is essential
that the connection plug is placed in a moisture-protected
location or otherwise protected from moisture (e.g. with a
cover) so that there is no short circuit or risk of electric shock
when connecting to the power supply.
