Troubleshooting
The heater does not respond:
- Mains connection interrupted
- Internal fuse has tripped, due to overheating caused by air
in the system.
The heater only responds briefly:
- Pump overloaded, circulation obstructed, heater controller
closed, pump height exceeded, coolant not circulated or not
circulated sufficiently
- Air in heater, thermoswitch interrupts power supply
Pump does not respond, but the unit becomes hot:
- Pump is blocked, contaminated or over-aged coolant, de-
posits on pump rotor. To reduce deposits, the heater should
be switched on at least 2 to 3 times a month.
Ground fault circuit interrupter switch has tripped:
- Internal fuse has tripped
- Moisture in the connection plug, possibly hose connec-
tions / seal leaking
Maintenance and care
Always disconnect the preheater from the power supply
before cleaning it.
Externally, the preheater should only be cleaned with a
damp cloth or sponge. Never use aggressive cleaning agents
or chemical solutions, as this could damage the surface of
the housing.
