2.4.12.4 PLLU/PLLU2 (Phase Locked Loop Unit )
PLLU (PLL Unit) is an option board which generates 32.768MHz clock synchronized to Digital Trunk
interface board. The 32.768MHz clock is provided to GSXD on MPB. It consists PLL circuit and clock
(from Digital Trunk interface board) monitoring circuit.
For the system synchronization, the clock should be extracted from BRIB, STIB with T mode, PRIB or
E1IB. But, if clock is not generated from BRIB, STIB with T mode, PRIB or E1IB(PLL circuit is unstable or
the clock from ISDN card is absent), this unit generates master clock(32.768MHz) using internal clock.
The PLLU is installed on MPB.
There are three kinds of PLLU; PLLU, PLLU III and PLLU2 (issue3).
Only PLLU2(issue 3) has been
available since the end of November, 1998,
but neither PLLU nor PLLU3 any longer. For reference,
PLLU2 issue 2 or earlier should be not used in GDK-100 system.
PLLU should be installed on MPB when any ISDN card including E1IB is installed in the system.
2.4.12.5 SIU (Serial Interface Unit)
SIU provides additional two RS232C interface circuits. Two connectors are 9 pin RS232C.
Serial Interfaces on MPB and SIU The SIU is useful for system maintenance, PC based admin., SMDR
print out and SMDI for PC based voice mail system.
Followings are the list of the system’s output;
- Administration database
- Off-line SMDR (on-demand)
- On-line SMDR
- Statistical Information
- SMDI (voice mail)
- System trace data
The SIU can be optionally installed on MISB.
2.4.12.6 DTRU/DTRU II (DTMF Receiver Unit)
A DTRU contains 2 DTMF receiver circuits, and a DTRU II has 4 DTMF receiver circuits. Each receiver
of DTRU /DTRU II is time-shared under the control of the system software, as a system resource
regardless its position.
The DTRU can be optionally installed on SLIB24, SLIB48, DSIB, LCOB, AC15, BWDIDB, EMIB and
DIDB.
The DTRU II can be optionally installed on SLIB II.
Maximum DTMF receivers are 22 in a system.
