Cleaning the printhead lens

You can solve some print quality problems by cleaning the printhead lens.

1

Turn the printer off.

2

Open the upper front door and the multipurpose feeder door.

3

Remove the print cartridge. See 

Replacing the print cartridge

.

4

Locate the glass printhead lens.

5

Gently wipe the printhead lens with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth.

6

Reinstall the print cartridge.

7

Close the upper front door, and then the multipurpose feeder door.

8

Turn the printer on.
