The number of object edges is monitored and output inverted.
6.4.6.3 Photoelectric sensor function, dark switching
When configured for the photoelectric sensor function, the number of edges is not moni-
tored. The entire measuring range is analyzed as a throughbeam photoelectric sensor. The
switching output functions on a dark-switching basis.
