Process data transfer
Process data are transmitted by means of
via the process data channel.
Process data serve to control the Servo Drive 9400.
The transmission of process data is time-critical.
Process data are transferred cyclically between the Controller (EtherCAT master) and the inverters
(slaves) (continuous exchange of current input and output data).
The master can directly access the process data. In the PLC for instance, the data are directly stored
in the I/O area.
Up to 32 process data words (16 bits/word) per direction can be exchanged.
Process data are not saved in the Servo Drive 9400.
Process data are e.g. setpoints, actual values, control words, and status words.
