8 Setting the maximum output current to the track
Factory-made, the output of the LV103 is set to 5A; you can select a
range between 2.5A and 5A.
To set the output current
"PoM", "Programming during operation" is
used. Before making the setting, you should familiarize yourself with
the operation of PoM with your LH100 or LH101 handset controller.
Then proceed as follows:
Select any locomotive address on the handset control (
Don't
worry
: If a locomotive with the address used above is on the
track during current setting, its settings will not change, since
the CV7 in the locomotive decoder can only be read, but not
changed.)
Then switch to "PoM".
Select CV7.
Program value 50 in CV7. This sets the LV103 into setting
mode, the LED of the LV103 and of any connected LV102/103
show a double flash.
Within 15 seconds, program the value for the desired output
current x2 (for 2.5A = take value 5 ) (see below) in CV7. The
LED lights up constantly again, the track current
is limited to this
value.
