Dangers in the operation of the waffle
iron
In case of operation of electric
heaters, very high temperatures occur,
which can lead to burns (eg baking
plates or baking molds and housings).
Never touch hot surfaces with bare
hands! For this purpose use existing
handles and always wear heat-insulat-
ing cooking gloves. Make other users
aware of the dangers! Risk of injury!!
• Let the appliance cool completely
before cleaning and / or stowing it.
Keep in mind that the appliance may
still be very hot after switching it off.
Risk of burns!
• Ensure that you place the Waffel-iron
on a non-slip and heat-resistant
surface. You avoid heat accumulation
if you do not place the device
directly against a wall or under a wall
cupboard or the like. Do not cover
the device during operation. Make
sure there is sufficient clearance and
safety distance to all easily flammable
objects, such for e.g. Curtains and
Drapes Risk of fire!
• Place the waffle iron on a flat surface
that is insensitive to spraying, as
splashes are not always avoidable. The
surface should be easy to clean.
• In order to avoid accidents, you
should never connect several house-
hold devices simultaneously to the
same earthed socket.
• Hot steam can escape when
opening and closing the lid and during
the baking process. Also be careful
when touching the handle. Risk of
injury!
• Avoid changing places as long as
the appliance or its parts it are hot or
as long as there are hot foods or liquids
in them. Let it cool to room tempera-
ture first. Risk of burns!
• Only use original accessories.
When using non-original accessories,
increased risk of accidents is to be
expected. In the event of accidents or
damage with non-original accessories,
no liability is accepted. When using
foreign accessories and the resulting
damage to the appliance because of
it voids any warranty.
• To avoid hazards, always disconnect
the mains plug from the earthing
contact socket when not in use and
allow the device to cool to room
temperature.
• The device is not intended to be
operated with an external timer or a
separate tele-control system.
• Always unplug the power plug from
the earthed socket before cleaning.
Risk of electric shock!
• Let the device and all accessories to
cool completely before cleaning.
• Do not use harsh cleaning and
abrasive products.
• Make sure that no liquid gets inside
the device.
• Observe the further instructions in the
chapter “Maintenance, cleaning and
care”.
